Sometimes I am incredibly jealous of all the people who are fortunate enough to live in generally warm, sunny locations like San Diego or Palm Springs. You can actually justify investing in an expensive swim suit or designer sunglasses because you get more than two months of sunshine. However I do thoroughly enjoy all the time I get to spend cozying up on the couch in a comfy sweater cuddling my dog and sipping on hot chocolate. There's something so incredibly comforting about the warm hug of a good chunky knit, so in that regard you warm-weather people are missing out!
Since the rain has been coming down with a vengeance here in Seattle all week, there hasn't really been much to do around here other than camping out on my laptop and doing some digital window shopping. Despite the fact that spring collections are rolling out already (I see you, Target and Pacsun, with your new bikinis and crop tops), there's still a really great selection of sweaters out there available at all price points! No matter if you're working with a tight budget or if price is less of an issue than finding the perfect fit, there's a comfy (and cute!) sweater out there with your name on it. Check out some of my favorite picks below, just in time for payday ;).
Kira Knit Sweater // BP Mock Neck Tunic Sweater // Powder Pink Knit Wool-blend Sweater // Nova Knit Sweater // 'Noel' Turtleneck Knitted Sweater // Luna Chenille Cardigan
'Sophia' Faux Fur Sleeve Sweater Dress // 'Denise' Turtleneck Knitted Sweater // 'Monique' Chunky Cable Knit Turtleneck Sweater // Moss Stitch Boxy Sweater // Blouson Cropped Cable Sweater // Viviane Ruffle Sleeve Sweater
Wool-Cashmere Waffle Square Crew // Sezane Simone Jumper // J. Crew Cashmere Cardigan Sweater // Apiece Apart Ruffled Sweater // OneOn Hand Knitted Textured Sleeve Sweater // Knitted Jumped by Selected Femme
I personally am eyeing the 'Monique' cable knit sweater (currently 30% off with promo code!) as well as the waffle-knit cashmere sweater from Everlane. If you've never heard of them before I highly recommend taking a few moments to check out their website (currently they only have brick-and-mortar stores in New York and San Francisco but occasionally they do pop-ups at department stores like Nordstrom). They are a really great clothing company built upon ethical factory operation and transparency in their business practices. It's truly great-quality clothing at an equally great price; no ridiculous markups. Alright, that concludes my little plug for a Everlane.
Happy sweater shopping!
