Happy Friday everyone! Hopefully you're all ready for this coming weekend because I know I am. As a barista I keep a really weird schedule sometimes and this will be the first ACTUAL weekend I've had off in a long time (not to mention I'm finishing up a seven-day-long work streak). I wanted to send you all off into the weekend with a bit of inspiration from this AMAZING home I came across online this week.

In a single word, this beautiful West Village townhouse belonging to Alison Cayne is GOALS. From the lovely minimal gallery wall to the stunning herringbone floors, this house is everything I could ever dream of for a home and more (besides coming with a stable full of horses but that's a different dream). The mustard yellow couches provide a perfect pop of color to an otherwise neutral space, and also complements the warm wood and antique gold accents.
And then there's the kitchen:
Just look at all of that open shelving! It's a trend that I have been a huge fan of for a long time, allowing you to display all of your beautiful dishes and cookware as well as making it really easy to find things (and, you know, keep track of how many clean dishes you have). And don't even get me started on those marble countertops.
Alison's impeccable design taste continues into the bedroom as well. The contrast in the light linens and dark gray walls is nothing short of breathtaking. It has a quiet, calm feeling to it without weighing down on you too heavily. I want to just swan dive into that perfectly made bed! There's even a pile of books waiting for you by the bedside.
The last place in this house that I'm super enthusiastic about is the bathroom! The slate gray clawfoot tub offset by the white coloring of the rest of the room and the brass accents continue the exact same theme from the rest of the house. It feels very turn-of-the century yet modern at the same time, and the addition of a couple house plants makes the white subway tile feel less cold. I also believe I spy a bath mat that looks VERY similar to one at Urban Outfitters that I've been wanting to buy for my own bathroom for months:
It comes in two different sizes, a regular-sized bath mat ($39) or a longer runner-style mat ($49) and the pattern is totally cool to look at. I should totally pull the trigger and just get it but yo', that's $50 for a bath mat.
Well that's all you guys! If you love this space as much as I do, feel free to hop on over to One King's Lane for the original house tour and insight into how Alison Cayne designed her home. I hope everyone has a relaxing and inspired weekend!
